DRIVER AND ID (PASSPORT) INFORMATION
Only persons who meet the driver’s age and license year requirements specified on the vehicle details page during the reservation process on our website may be designated as drivers. The driver and any additional drivers are required to present their valid driver’s licenses and sign the rental agreement at the time of vehicle delivery.
In case of an accident caused by anyone not listed in the rental agreement, the insurance and coverage become invalid.
For guests arriving from abroad, a passport with an entry stamp to Turkey must be shown to the rental agent during the check-in process.
RENTAL PERIOD
The minimum rental period is 24 hours (1 day).

LATE RETURN POLICY
In the event of a possible delay, you must inform our call center.
If the delay exceeds 2 hours or if no prior notice is given, one full day’s rental rate will be charged.
FUEL POLICY
Our vehicles are usually delivered and returned with the same fuel level. This policy is applied to protect our customers from possible miscalculations.
VEHICLE DELIVERY
Pickup:
Vehicle delivery is made at the office location specified in your reservation form.
Delivery & Collection Service:
If you wish to have your vehicle delivered or collected at a specific address, an additional delivery fee applies. The nearest branch will contact you by email or phone to confirm the delivery fee.
INSURANCE AND COVERAGES
Insurance details are clearly stated in the rental agreement and on our website under “Extras” and “Included in the Price.”
The insurance type may vary depending on the vehicle group and location. The terms in your rental confirmation or rental contract are binding.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW):
All vehicles are insured against collision, theft, and similar risks. For other cases, please review the Damage Protection Packages.
Tire & Glass Insurance:
Covers damages to glass and tires, which are not included in the standard insurance. Limited to one claim per rental.
Mini Damage Package:
Covers minor damages such as tire punctures or glass cracks (up to 7,500 TL) in cases where a police report cannot be obtained.
Comprehensive Damage Package:
Extends Mini Damage coverage to 15,000 TL for unreported damages and waives the deposit requirement.
Supplementary Liability Insurance (SLI):
Provides additional coverage beyond the mandatory traffic insurance for damages to third parties within specific limits stated in the policy.
TRAFFIC FINES
Traffic, speed camera, toll, and bridge fines issued to the vehicle are reported to us by the relevant authorities.
If the fine corresponds to your rental period, a copy of the fine is emailed to you, and you must pay it within the specified period or it will be charged to your credit card.
Failure to pay will result in legal action through our contracted law offices.
MILEAGE LIMITS
Our vehicles are rented based on a fair mileage policy. The included mileage is clearly stated during booking under “Included in the Price.”
Additional mileage fees:

PAYMENT AND SECURITY
The total rental amount, additional products/services, and deposit (if applicable) are collected in advance from the driver’s personal credit card at the start of the rental.
Adjustments (charges or refunds) are made upon return of the vehicle.

Additional driver’s or third-party credit cards are not accepted.
Deposit:
Depending on the vehicle group, a refundable deposit may be required. Deposit amounts are shown during the reservation process. The deposit is refunded in full if the vehicle is returned in the same condition.

RESERVATION, CONTRACT & MODIFICATIONS
Reservations made through our website or call center can be modified before the pickup date (vehicle group, rental dates, or extras).
Some changes may affect pricing.
If the pickup location is changed, the existing reservation must be canceled and a new one created. The original price will not apply to the new booking.
Early Return:
If the vehicle is returned earlier than the scheduled drop-off date, the rate will be recalculated based on the actual rental days. A 3-day rental fee is deducted, and the remaining amount is refunded or issued as a voucher for future use.
Extension:
If you wish to extend your rental period, the new rate will be recalculated, and the additional amount will be charged to the payment method used at the beginning of the rental.
No-Show Policy:
If the vehicle is not picked up within 1 hour after the scheduled pickup time (or flight arrival time), the reservation will be marked as No-Show.
After 2 hours, the reservation will be automatically canceled, and the vehicle cannot be guaranteed.
Cancellation and Refund Policy:

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before pickup are free of charge.

For prepaid reservations (credit card payments), refunds are processed via bank within 7 business days.

For bank transfer payments, refunds are made in Turkish Lira to a domestic bank account based on the exchange rate on the reservation date.

Refunds can only be made to Turkish bank accounts.

For international refunds, any bank fees (EFT, SWIFT, correspondent bank charges) are deducted from the total.

Upon request, Cartiva Rental Cars may issue a discount code instead of a cash refund. The code is valid for a single future booking made by the same customer.
OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES
In case of any damage, you must immediately contact the emergency hotline and not move the vehicle.
Take wide-angle photos of the accident scene (including the road and other vehicles) and obtain a Police and Alcohol Report.
If both parties agree on the details, a Traffic Accident Report may be issued.
In case of theft, a Theft Report must be obtained, and the vehicle key must be returned to us.

Vehicles cannot leave Turkey.
Insurance coverage is valid only within Turkish borders.
Vehicle reservations are confirmed by group, not by specific brand or model.

Winter Tires: Offered as an optional paid service, availability varies by region and stock.
